The Retina Group of Washington is pleased to announce the addition of Arthi Venkat, M.D., M.S., to the RGW physician staff.
Dr. Venkat joins RGW from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, where she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Venkat earned both a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Washington Hospital Center, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at George Washington University, and dual fellowship training in both Medical Retina and Uveitis at Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute. During her fellowship, Dr. Venkat was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Clinical Fellow Teaching Award.
Widely published in both peer-reviewed medical journals and medical textbooks, Dr. Venkat has participated in numerous clinical trials related to ophthalmologic conditions. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and also a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, as well as the Cleveland Ophthalmologic Society.
Dr. Venkat is seeing patients at RGW’s Annapolis, Capitol Hill and Columbia offices.
