Arthur R. Pilkerton, MD 1935-2026
Arthur R. Pilkerton (Ray) is regarded as one of the visionaries in the Washington, D.C. ophthalmic community. Dr. Pilkerton started the first retina program at Georgetown University, co-founded The Retina Group of Washington, and is admired for his contributions to the retina subspecialty of ophthalmology.
