“I got into the retinal field because I was fascinated with the eye—how it works, why it sometimes doesn’t—and wanted to make it my life’s work to study it and help develop different ways to improve people’s vision. I guess you could say I’m living my dream!”

Dr. Bryant’s medical education & training accomplishments are as diverse as they are distinguished. They started at Wayne State University School of Medicine where she was awarded prestigious scholarships for four consecutive years, won the school’s Distinguished Service Award, received honors for Outstanding Ophthalmology Research and earned the Distinction in Biomedical Research Award. While completing her residency at the University of California-San Francisco, she captured top honors for presenting the “Best Clinical Research Paper by a Resident” and won first place in the National Medical Association’s Rabb-Venable Ophthalmology Research Competition.

While finishing her fellowship at the Tufts New England Eye Center, Dr. Bryant was selected to represent The Retina Society in the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) “Ambassador” program. That honor enabled her to attend and participate in the AAO’s Mid-Year Forum, which featured a Congressional Advocacy Day, on which she and others visited with legislators and key care staff on Capitol Hill to discuss major issues facing the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Bryant is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and served as a member of the AAO’s Consultant-Membership Advisory Committee. She is a Clinical Associate in the Tufts University School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology and an Assistant Staff member of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
