Dr. Padidam joined Retina Group of Washington (RGW) following a two-year ophthalmology fellowship with RGW. She was appointed Chief Resident during her ophthalmology residency at Detroit’s Kresge Eye Institute, which is considered one of the nation’s leading centers dedicated to the preservation of sight. During her residency, Dr. Padidam received an award for achieving the highest score on her Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) examination, one of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s clinical-education programs.
Dr. Padidam graduated in the top 10th percentile from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She attended Pennsylvania State University where she completed an accelerated six-year joint Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine degree, repeatedly earning Dean’s List status.
Dr. Padidam’s ophthalmology research has been published in prestigious medical journals, including JAMA Ophthalmology, Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Management, Retina Times, and Retina. The findings of studies in which she has participated have been presented at notable medical meetings, including American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Women in Ophthalmology.
In her free time, Dr. Padidam enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
