Dr. Khatri is an ophthalmologist, retina specialist, & vitreoretinal surgeon at the Retina Group of Washington (RGW). He joined RGW following completion of a two-year ophthalmology fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery from The Ohio State University. Dr. Khatri started his professional career after graduating summa cum laude with a B.S degree in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. He then received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Following this, he went on to complete his internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. 

Dr. Khatri has presented at national meetings including the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma. Throughout his training, Dr. Khatri volunteered at the BuckEYE Clinic, a free University-sponsored clinic providing ophthalmic care and treatment for the underserved in the Columbus community. During his fellowship, he served as an instructor for the OSU residents, supervising and training them to perform retinal laser procedures to treat retinal tears and diabetic retinopathy as well as intravitreal injections of medications to treat diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. 

He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). Dr. Khatri is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He has hospital affiliations with Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital. During his leisure time, Dr. Khatri enjoys traveling, soccer, running, and cycling.
