"The most gratifying thing about practicing medicine is making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. It goes without saying that healthy vision is essential to enjoying life to the fullest. Saving or maintaining someone’s sight, especially for older people whose physical activity may be limited, is so incredibly rewarding."
After graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Lee continued his education at the university's School of Medicine as a member of the Honors Program in Medical Education, from which he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He began his post-graduate training with an internship at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine’s Department of Medicine, followed by a residency with the Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology. He completed his fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the UCLA School of Medicine, where he received the Abe Meyer Memorial Fellow Award.
